December 17 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Another good day.
I'm thankful for therapy this morning. I got my knee bend to 122. I'm almost at full knee bend. Before surgery, it was at 124. Just two more degrees and I'll be happy. I know I only needed to get to 120 and I did and surpassed that.
I'm thankful for the doctor's appointment that followed therapy. My doctor was impressed with the progress I made in just 6 weeks. I asked him if I could swim, not just do the doggy paddle. He told me, and I kid you not, he said I could swim in a farm pond if I wanted to. That made me laugh. I said I could swim with the pigs? He agreed. So, I'm back in the pool swimming to my heart's content starting tomorrow.
I'm thankful for my chiropractor visit this afternoon. My back pain has been less and I thought almost healed. He thought differently. He said it will be a few more sessions to get my back straightened out. I'm also taking calcium to help with sleeping.
I'm thankful for the Christmas card I got in the mail from @juliaacv. Thank you very much.
Okay, I'm getting off the computer. I know I haven't been here long today, but right now my back is telling me I've been here long enough. So, before I have a problem with my back, I'm getting away from the computer.

Jay was having problems with his lower back, from sitting in the mail truck for too long. Now, he's doing sit-ups each day, to exercise and strengthen those muscles. He's doing much better! Your doctor is humorous, not afraid to talk silly!

@just4him December 24th is Jay's last day of work. One time a nurse said, 'Your tests were all fine.' My comment, 'Oh, darn it!' She gave a strange look, then realized that I was just kidding.

Hey, I am super happy that you received the card that I sent to you today.
I am thankful that I had today off from work. Time is very precious at any time, but right now, before Christmas, and before another feared lockdown, it was almost essential to have today off. I ran my feet off today.

@just4him And I am off from work today as well. The government officials are hinting that they will be making an announcement of a circuit breaker lockdown later on today. I have to go out and get some produce, bread and dairy. I am thankful that is all that we need.

That is a very good day. Congrats on you recovering so well. Swimming will be very good therapy for you.
Today I am thankful my zoom meeting went well. That my cat Chilly climbed on my lap and was happy to see me. I'm happy I have coffee because the temp will drop like a rock tonight. I'm thankful it was comfortable when I went out today.

I am thankful that I am losing weight using a new water diet as well as getting close to getting paid early next week on doing surveys.

What is that image exactly? It looks like a Christmas tree taken from underneath it.
I'm thankful for my two days off work and that my Dr can fit me in Christmas Eve morning.
I'm thankful that I think we got almost everything we need for Christmas, my husband will pick up the pies on Monday.
I'm thankful my insta pot still works. (I've not used it in months because I thought it needed extra cleaning but now it seems fine).
I was happy when I got my knee to ninety degrees before being done with or. Now I'm sure both knees have more of the angle but I never could get my left knee right before surgery so that one took longer to get it to the desired degree.
Yay for being able to swim again.

@just4him my knee is farther than that now but that's what the pt here's goal was if I'm not mistaken.
My daughter is doing Christmas we are bringing a cooked turkey, glazed sweet potatoes and the pies. She's making corn casserole and a Mac and cheese casserole she had somewhere. My other daughter is making cheesy potatoes.

That's great your doctor can fit you in on Christmas Eve morning.
I'm glad your insta pot still works and your husband will pick up the pies on Monday. Are you having family over for Christmas dinner?
You only have your knee to 90 degrees? Are you still in therapy for it?

I'm thankful that I get to teach guitar and piano. I'm thankful that I got a yummy salad from the local Deli today. I'm thankful that Kitty is asleep next to me. I am thankful that my nose hair itch has subsided for right now.

Those are all great things to be thankful for. Especially the nose hair itch. There's nothing worse than an itchy nose.
