December 21 and 22 - What I'm Thankful for Yesterday and Today

By now I know you realize I missed posting this yesterday. I was in bed when I remembered.
Other than the weatherman not keeping his promise, yesterday was a good day. I had a therapy appointment right after the pool. I got my knee to full knee bend. I'm so happy about that. I've also gone down to one appointment a week, which means, I have one left. Next Monday.
Today was also a good day. I'm thankful my son got approved for the car and I have my car back. I also have the handicap sign out front so I can park in front of the door. That makes me happy since it will be a while before my knees are 100%. I might have them to full bend now, but they're still stiff and painful when I stand. Walking is good.
I also had a good day in the pool and fitness center. It's getting easier in the fitness center and I think I'm getting my pace back in the pool.
On my way home this morning, I stopped at Walgreen's and finished my Christmas shopping for my grandson. He likes chocolate-covered cherries for Christmas. I almost didn't find them. I also got him an Xbox Live card since he loves to play video games. So, my shopping is finished. I'm completely ready for Christmas.

I am thankful that the medicines that I ordered from a pharmacy will be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon.

I'm so glad your son got approved for his new car! Another answered prayer on my list:) We didn't buy gifts this year, our finances are iffy with Jay approaching retirement. It could be up to six months, before he receives his first check!

Sounds like two pretty good days there! That's always good to hear. Pretty much done with gifts here; would have liked to get a "santa" gift for Eli but will depend if I can get to the store without him. Also, waiting on something to arrive in the mail for my husband which is supposed to arrive after Christmas...I ordered a bit too late.

And thanks...I just hope everyone will be happy. Not sure I will be able to get to the store though, should have went to the store without him Monday lol. And it looks like the gifts should arrive tomorrow for my husband instead of arriving Saturday or later.

You made up for it, today. You're human, you're allowed to forget.
I'm thankful the weather is warm, despite the fact it's officially winter. I am thankful my husband has a job, even if it looks like no one knows what to do with him. Problem is, he's over qualified, so there's no space for him in the other non-active pizza huts. The fact Rachel "has a plan" makes me a bit anxious, because he's still too young to retire. And, kind of at the age, where he can't afford to start over. At least, for now, his job is secure.

I don't know how secure his job actually is. His hours for this week are because they were set before the decision to close the store was known. After that, we don't know.@just4him

Glad your are almost through all your appointments and your knees are healing well. And that you are finished with your Christmas shopping.
I am thankful Mike will be home with me for a few nights now. I will be spoiled having him here. Have a blessed evening. Merry Christmas

@just4him Yes, but in recent years very little, last year I went to the mountains just to see snow and I was happy as a small child ... this year they also announce a little precipitation but only in January

so happy to read that'cher doin' so well. 'njoyin' yer time'n the pool 'n fitness center. glad yer gonna get to park closer, too.
thankful i learnt ya could video chat'n facebook messenger. wish i'd know earlier, but 'twas able to get the family organized fer such'n Christmas day. took way too many hours'n the phone with the aunt o'er a 2 day period, but 'twas worth 't e'en though such made my sweet momma cry.
