... the first time. I am not sure if you have this silly practice. When I was a young kid, most elders keep on telling us to wish when being in this situation. Honestly, I find it weird. Regardless, I still do it.
As I am thinking about this, it comes into my mind that there are other ways that people wish on something or to someone, such as breaking the wishbones, wishing before blowing the birthday candles, wishing others through greeting cards, throwing coins to a wishing well, etc.
Now, I am wishing all of you a Merry Christmas. We are preparing for Christmas Eve later and it will be a simple celebration with the family.
Are there any other ways how to wish someone or something?
Are you a wishful thinker?

Yes we do practice the wish bones and the coins in a fountain.
Also if finding a penny in the street, spit on it and put it in your shoe for luck
Also a very Merry Christmas to you Shavvi my friend you and family there. Have fun

I try not to be to much of one, if I'm being honest. I perfer not to wish to hard, unless I'm willing to work to make that wish come true.

I like your Christmas greeting, very colorful. Merry Christmas to you as well.
I never thought before how many ways we wish for things. How about wish upon a star and some wish when they see comets.

Most of the time, but I know it doesn't come true either. I only give thanks to what I still have.

Yes, my religion has something we called 'nazar'. It's like if my wish come true I will do 'this'. 'This' is something good like fasting, giving money for charity, visit orphan, feeding the poors, all the good deeds.
