But Dixie and Humberto are coming for lunch.
They are bringing the food. Leftovers from their Christmas Eve dinner with their kids. Turkey with all sorts of stuffings. An elegant dessert.
I got out some delicatessen that I was given last night. I placed in the freezer a half bottle of champagne. I will fry some chicken livers for Humberto while Dixie is away. She can´t stand them and he loves them.
I am blessed to have these friends or, better said, this adopted family.

It is great to have friends and enjoy a meal together..better yet to have an adopted family.. I have many friends and some of us we can meet on Zoom.. The girl next door, some in the same village and others nearby places - physical or on the phone..then come the great programs at Jw.org in more than 1000 languages.. Happy to have Internet

@marguicha I am 75, and have many kids I meet on Zoom..we have two meetings a week in JW.org congregation and have most meetings same in all the world..

@buenavida Internet has changed the world. I mostly message my grandsons in Spain because I don´t know at what time I can call them. Whatsapp is awesome too and free.

My granddaughter´s best friend practically lives with her through zoom. She is 10.

@marguicha That was very sensible of Dixie. Most people are sick of the sight of ham by the time Christmas is over. Buying a big ham is a big tradition here.
