Going to see a mural

The photo is of some lemon butter which I made. I’ve never made it before but it’s very yummy. It has nothing to do with the post.
We have Vince’s sister and her husband staying with us since Christmas Day and we’ve enjoyed the time together. We haven’t been very active. We played a new board game called Blokus which was a lot of fun and Flo and I have also been doing a jigsaw.
Today, we’re driving to Wellington Dam to view the mural which is being painted on the dam wall. It’s supposed to be the biggest wall mural in Australia but you never quite know the truth with these things. Guess what we’re taking for our picnic lunch? Ham sandwiches!! Ham is a big thing with Australians at Christmas and we seem to be eat it for days and days before we manage to get rid of it all.

I'm glad Vince's sister and her husband are visiting, that's wonderful:) Staying active keeps life fun, I love to play games or put a puzzle together. I hope you get a photo of this mural, I'd love to see it! We have a baked ham for Christmas, every year. We already had two meals out of it, there's still a lot leftover! I told Jay, it would be nice to freeze part of it, for another time. Stay safe:)

@kobesbuddy I found this ham to be quite salty. Luckily there were plenty of other things to eat. lol

@JudyEv Jay placed three large portions in the freezer, for another time. This ham isn't overly salty, which we appreciate!

'tis no wonder y'all aint been that active with the heat there, lol. glad y'all'd thingies to do though to pass the time 'way together. hope y'all'd a great time'n that mural 'tis all they say 'tis gonna be. usually we'll eat such fer a few days, then i freeze the rest fer later use.

@JudyEv i 'gree with ya there. i 'lways freeze some ham 'n turkey from the holidays'n smallish packets. both bein' good 's 'dditions to many dishes later.

Lemon butter/curd is really easy to make. Two ounces of butter, two eggs, rind and juice of 2 lemons and four ounces of sugar. Beat the eggs, add the rest and stir over heat until the consistency of honey. So easy. lol It's my kind of recipe.

Looking forward to your pictures. We bought a whole spiral sliced ham before Christmas and had MANY meals out of it. Enjoy your company.

It was a bit hard to get a really good photo. They are sepia coloured so don't show up really clearly.
