Speaking of Chinese food

What kind is your favorite? Of course our American version of Chinese food doesn't taste much like the real thing...unless maybe you are in Chinatown or San Francisco or something. I have had a lot of Chinese dishes but I almost always get Kung Pao Chicken or Chicken with Cashew Nuts. Sometimes I will get Kung Pao Shrimp as well. My favorite soup is hot and sour. What do you like in terms of Chinese food?

I usually go for the Sesame Chicken with fried rice and a veggie roll. I prefer Japanese more than Chinese now.

There is a very good Japanese place nearby. I go there pretty often. It is roughly the same in price.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I would say the Japanese and Chinese places here are about two miles apart. They are owned by different people.

We have not gotten any restaurant food since Feb/March - I seriously would take any Chinese food! We make it at home, but it's just not the same (except the rice, I can make the rice ). I like chow mein, won ton soup, any seafood with vegetables, chicken or beef with vegetables - all of it with rice.

@snowy22315 The restaurants here are back to take out / delivery only. But we just chose not to have any restaurant food during this time.

@snowy22315 do you ask for it to be spicy? My place will make it extra spicy if asked

@just4him It is very hard to find authentic in the first place. The one close to me is pretty good...but one thing they are obsessed with celery and put it in everything..and they don't even dice it. It is more like thin strips.

@snowy22315 I generally don't do Chinese. I found that is the one I like. I don't do authentic.

I would say, Asian food instead of Chinese. I love spring rolls, fried rice, fried noodles, stir-fried veggies and more.

I really like Indian food more than Chinese, or maybe Japanese food better too. However, sometimes I just get a taste for Chinese food.
