I am now a Great Uncle!!! and got a 5 Generation Family Photo for Christmas!

It has been a very, very long time since i last checked in with myLot friends and family, 2020 has been such a sad time for so many of us, but i was blessed with the blessing of being promoted from an Uncle, to a Great Uncle... My Niece was blessed with a handsome baby boy on Nov 19th.
After all the proper precautions and hand sanitizing on Christmas Day, we got our 5 Generation photo taken, such a precious keepsake for our family, we could not wait any longer so while all we're healthy and took proper precautions we took the photo, no hugs and loves from Grandma to still be safe do not want to risk her health, she has thankfully not had to go out in this craziness at all she has been safe at home, and i am still full time caregiver for her.

@jstory07 Oh i imagine! i was so sure my Niece was having a little girl i wanted her to have her own Mini Me of herself she was the most perfect baby! but i am so happy she had a baby boy it was meant to be this way!

Congratulations. I am a great aunt several times over now. I have much older nieces and nephews that I grew up with instead of cousins. Four of my five older nieces and nephews have kids. I have soon to be 8 great nieces and nephews but I don't see them nor am I close to them. The oldest one is I think 4 or 5 now I can't even remember. Then I have one who was born a few days before my son's birthday in November and one that is due any day. It's great that you get to be close to yours. I don't even think I've met half of mine. I have met maybe three of them. My oldest great nephew is the only one I've really met in person. It's great you can be close to yours.

Sorry you do not get to see yours, yes my Sister's youngest child was born December 2019, and my Neices baby was born December 2020 so he has a Aunt that is one month.

That is neat. Only one of my nephews will probably end up married with children so I only have one possibility of being a Great Aunt!

I likely will have many Great Nieces and Great Nephews someday... My sister had 6 children.

Congratulations! Lovely to get everyone together for the photo, and to see each other too of course. My partner found he is going to be a great uncle in a few months, he's a bit shocked as his niece is only 19, half-way through her university course and we didn't even know she had a boyfriend!

Yes, me and my family we're quite shocked aswell my neice is also 19, but will be 20 in Febuary... it was not a complete shock but after that wore off we we're happy for her, she is a great mom.
