Not what I planned

I will bring in the New Year putting Christmas decor away. Not what I planned but when I got up this morning the Christmas tree had fallen over. It may have been the victim of cats, but I am not sure. They have not appeared to be interested in it.
Hubby will work a little.
We are supposed to have ice and snow, but I have not seen it here yet.
By Monday we will be in the 50 F. temperature range.
I went to bed at my regular time last night, and slept through the New Year rolling in. Perhaps 2021 knocked my 2020 tree over.
On Monday our educational staff is to have an inservice for half the day, but no location has been posted. I hope they let us know. The afternoon is a workday, and I know what that involves.
So I expect to be seeing lots of New Year's wishes today here on the lot. I hope your New Year's Eve activities were busier than mine.
I did take communion online with my church, early in the evening.

It is snowing here today. We did not wait for the New Year, we went to sleep at our usual time, the night has bee quiet, no noises, nothing. I have already seen a lot of posts saying Happy New Year, I visited myLot this morning before our first lunch of the year.

My tree is artificial. Usually I leave it up until Three Kings/Epiphany/Twelfth Day. It just did not work for me this year.

My tree is still standing, but all the ornaments were removed yesterday... except the tinsel. It just occurred to me that the tree stood all day long today when I was a kid. Forgot all about that. We are in for a mega storm this afternoon so I got my walk in this morning and made a new friend... the cutest little dog named Murphy!!!

i'd a semi-busy day, though not's busy's i would'a liked. 'twas very chilly with a breeze makin' tacklin' outdoor schtuff not very productive. there 'tis many thingies ya jest can't do with thick gloves'n yer hands.
could'a been a kitty got curious, ya jest ne'er know.
hope ya get word soon, that not knowin' 't make me a tad cranky. happiest 'f new year wishes, hon.
