It's The First Day of 2021, But Not Slacking

Since my husband is in our garage doing his own thing, I am seated here in our living room working on some projects for a client. This is my side job and I figure I can knock down some tasks before we resume work in the office. I do not even want to think about what I am about to face at work on Monday - I am sure there will be lots to catch up on.
I do not have anything planned for the day anyway, seeing as majority of establishments here are close for the day. My husband have plans to go and be with his older brother tomorrow, so I will probably go to the mall and check out some after-holiday sales, and see if there is anything there that we can use. I also need to restock some staples in our pantry that we managed to use up these past couple of weeks.
I am also trying to finish the books that I ordered in my Kindle. And if possible, get a workout in as well. I rarely workout, because I am always tired from working. I know, I am making some excuses here, but I do get some workout done. I used to workout everyday for half an hour after work. That was before the pandemic hits and made my schedule out of control.
What do you have planned for today? Do you have any businesses open today in your area?

Since the pandemic and lockdown I have been working from home. So my day starts with house chores and then I sit on my computer doing my office work. Sometimes I wind up within a few hours and at times the work continues till I am ready to hit the pillow.

I also work from home some days. I like it for the most part, but sometimes I end up working longer hours than when I go to the office. It's because I am already home, and it does not seem too much to do one more report, or one more email, or one more phone call. Before I know it, hours have passed.

I workout in the morning so that way I know it's done for the day and when I'm done working I can just relax if I'm too tired.. I didn't do anything new years day just had a relaxing day at home. I plan to run out to the store today as we need a few things here at home so hopefully with people back at work today the stores won't be busy.

@Raine38 gotcha that would make sense. I don't have to be to work til the afternoon and get done at 8pm so I can workout in the morning.

@Blondie2222 I envy you. I am a night owl, and yet I have an early start. That is why by mid-afternoon, I am already feeling so tired.
