Another Day, Another New Zealand Beach

Whilst those of you in the northern hemisphere are possibly feeling the cold, and perhaps restrictions on what you can do at the moment, here in New Zealand in the southern hemisphere it is summer and we no longer have lockdown restrictions in place.
This afternoon I drove to Foxton Beach, about 35 minutes drive from where I live. It is on the North Island's west coast, just over an hour north of our capital city, Wellington.
The sun was shining and it was almost high tide when I went. I enjoyed another beach walk and loved the feel of the cool water around my feet.
It was good seeing people of all ages out enjoying the summer weather.
After taking this photo the day became much hotter and I decided it was time to go home.

@valmnz Congratulations on have a government that took decisive action at the beginning of Covid and who can give you freedom now. I have friends who were on holiday in NZ in March and saw what was coming so left early and got out just in time. With so many people having the same idea the planes were all full and the poor things were bumped from economy to first class all the way to London.

It got in the low 80's today. I actually broke into a sweat while out today. Florida doesn't know it's supposed to be Winter, LOL.

Can You adopt a American son. I have my adoption papers ready. Former Marine who deployed to Australia but also wanted to see New Zealand also but cannot complain because how many can say they were allowed that in their life. Adoption could change my fortunes twice. You know you doing it right if people make that claim.

New Zealand has done well with the virus. Warm weather and beaches sound good to me today. Snow on the ground here.

how wonderful ya got to take that drive'n walk 'long the beach, hon. we're still 't 'red level' here 'n whilst i'd need to drive a few days to find a beach, i'd sure love to see my sweet momma.
