Woke up to some surprise....

Good morning Wednesday from this side of planet. We woke up to a surprise that is not so welcomed on a cold day like this. As soon as I set the curtains aside, I found it drizzling outside and seems that it must have rained whole night. Well, we didn't realize it in deep sleep. We had cloudy weather since the start of the new year but no rain so far. The temperature has really dropped and it's 12 degree this morning. It's pleasant inside my cozy home. I am done with some harvesting in my garden with my umbrella. You see the picture from last evening with these brinjals asking to be plucked. And so I had them for my lunch menu today. Done with morning chores, finished cooking till lunch. And now I will have some exercise and get ready for my work. I still have more than an hour to do so. I will be done by lunch time. Nothing much to do in afternoon today. I hope nothing comes as I want to have some time here. Have a good timeCatch you later

It is always great to see veggies or fruits fully grown up in our home plants. Here too we have had good rains in the last few days. We did had some sunshine yesterday. The days remain cold but the night temperatures do not dip much. This could however change going forward once the cloud cover goes away. Enjoy your Wednesday.

@arunima25 Just in this evening, we got more rains. Now it has rained and the chill has again increased. There has been just a little sunshine during the last two days and this is maintaining the cold. We might have to venture out for some time in the next few days and it can be a challenge. An additional challenge of the breath coming out from the mask fogging the eye glasses. And having that on even a slightly damp and foggy day can be something one has to be careful with.

@arunima25 I might have to drive a bit longer in the coming days and we have heavy challans for not wearing masks so I will have to figure out a way! The cold weather would continue, may be with a break of a day or two in between. Yet a long cold spell means that the 1st half of February would have a great weather if sun comes out regularly- not very cold but sunny and kind of pleasant.

I talked to my family in Delhi two days back and they were complaining about the rain and awful cold. It's still cloud here with little drizzle. I just read about alerts of heavy rain in few parts of Karnataka . So it seems that clouds and rain are here to stay for some time. The days are getting gloomy and depressing . A good sunny day will be most welcomed.

We have a variety of dishes here. And the dishes also use different kind of brinjal. Yesterday I made a curry in Andhra style ( that's recipe from state of Andhra Pradesh). It's spicy and uses coconut paste in gravy.

Rain while annoying at times, is not such a bad thing. The earth apparently needed it. Wish we'd get some, but hopefully not tomorrow because hubby and I have plans to go out.

We all want rain to fall at convenient times for usIt can be a spoilsport if we have plans for outdoor activities. My city gets a lot of rain. In fact, we have rain throughout the year. You need to carry an umbrella anytime. The cloud clear sky can give way to rain in a minute here. We get a lot of unexpected rain here.

Wow! It's really a great surprise! You have a green thumb. I want to have a garden too but it seems that I don't have much time and place to do it. Perhaps when I am able to buy a lot in this place, I could also have my own garden and I will plant vegetables.

Gardening can be done in a limited space too. We have many videos on YouTube to help you with it. But yes, you need to give some devoted time to your gardening. I hope you get to the place of your choice very soon.

I am having a lazy day today too as it's very hot here. I'm in the lounge in the A/C and enjoying it very much. Now we have the solar panels, the A/C doesn't cost us anything so I'm happy to be sitting in the cool.
