First kind of, sort of, normal like thing I've done in a long time

Hi My Lot! With the holidays being on us I didn't mention it right away, but a couple of weeks ago I decided to venture out.
Most of my shopping since March has been done online and either I go pick it up or it is delivered. Only a few times since March of 20 have I dared to venture into a gas station or store. Actually haven't eaten INSIDE a restaurant since March of 20, either. Of course, this isn't intended as a lecture on those who feel more comfortable going out and about than I do. This is just my comfort level as I also need to look out for my momma on chemo. Well that AND I think I would be about this paranoid anyway.
So, remembering back a few posts, my rave reviews of radio station : Happy Productions - offered an open house. I almost didn't go. Discussed it with my mom, who , in my opinion has a right to know what I'm up, and she was for it.
They assured us that it would be socially distanced / masked... and so it was. The surroundings were clean, people stayed distant, and masked. I got the tour and what a nice facility they have. A small bar, a listening room with a stage for when they can safely host live music again, and of course several offices and an on air studio. And perhaps the best part is I got to meet several of my favorite show hosts in person. I love it.
I felt, well, about as safe as I could feel which is something. I'm happy I went.
Here's a picture of me with my t-shirt.
If you feel like listening - you can from anywhere since they stream online at www.happyproductions.live

Glad you liked your venturing out. We all have to venture out and live with new norms and safety measures. The virus is here to stay and life can not be on standstill forever.
I am also stepping out a bit lately though still not too bold to go to a crowded place or events.

Thanks! It was much welcome. Alas. I think you are right, though I have high hope on the availability of the vaccine. I think you are wise to still avoid crowds

@FayeHazel Our country has come with a promising vaccine ( as claimed through trial phases). But it will take a long time for everyone to get vaccinated. We have a huge population. There is plan led for phase wise vaccination based on priorities. But despite of war foot plan, it's going to take time.

@arunima25 Oh good, I hope that you have vaccine soon. Here they have a plan to go in waves. We were told it would take months. I suspect it will take a lot longer to roll out. But here - the first to get it will be those in healthcare and residents and staff in long term care facilities. Then people who are over 65 and or have other conditions. Then everyone else. DO you have a similar plan?

We haven't been in a store since March 20 either. Do curbside pickup sometimes. Go in grocery occasionally, but mostly do pick up and delivery. I'm glad you had a place you could go and feel safe. We got the first round of our vaccinations today. Now are supposed to be 50% protected until second dose. Will your mom be able to get vaccine.

Ah yes, How I appreciate the small things like grocery shopping now. Thanks! Momma will likely be in the second wave of people to get the vaccine. She is currently undecided, but I sure hope she decides to get it. I know I will get it the split second it is available to me. I'm happy you got yours today. That is wonderful.

@FayeHazel I know what you're saying. Who would have thought, after all the times I've eaten out, that I'd get excited about it?

@JudyEv Oh yes. I know what you mean there. A "boring" Friday night for me used to be going out to eat with my friend and then coming home after. Oh wow. It sounds like major excitement now
