Finally!!!! I have matched the position number on the countdown with the number mentioned in the song title!! Maybe I should do that one time.....nah.
It was unintentional, but here it is, as previously guessed by Lori, for your dining and dancing pleasure.
#7: Seven Lonely Days - Patsy Cline
For all my life I’d only known this as a cry-in-your-beer country song, sung by women. Naturally, we had Patsy’s version; and, Jean Shepard also had a great rendition (which we also had). But the origins of this song aren’t exactly country: the original hit version was by none other than her nibs, Miss Georgia Gibbs! Yeah, there’s a country singer for you.
To be fair, Gibbs’ original isn’t exactly what you normally expect out of her, so it’s not that far a stretch to see this song make its way into the world of country music, where it became a standard.
And who better to present it to you than Patsy?
Seven Lonely Days
Written by Earl Shuman, Alden Shuman, and Marshall Brown
Recorded by Patsy Cline
From Showcase, 1961

I wasn't familiar with this one; but since it's Patsy, it's OK!
