Hardees new menu items

So friends, I usually don't go to Hardee's. For those of you who are unfamiliar, I think it is also similar to "Carl's" or "Carl's Jr." in other parts of the US. And for those folks out of the US. Hardees is a fast food restaurant, though not quite as popular some of the other chains.
I don't usually eat at Hardees - but I have been there twice in the past 2 months. Just per happenchance they were the best option for where I was in town.
So, unsurprisingly I noticed new menu items since I had been there before.
The first thing I tried was the Prime Rib Burger. Ok, that was decent. They put their sliced beef in gravy.... on top of a burger. I think it would have been more successful with more of the Prime Rib Beef on a French roll , with no burger in it, but not bad.
Then this morning, I tried the "monster" biscuit. Wow. That was fantastic. It was a biscuit with egg, cheese sauce, sasuage patty, bacon and ham. I almost wish I hadn't ordered it because this is something I could easily eat a lot. I'm sure it is not the lightest or healthiest thing.
I have eaten out (altogether) less during the pandemic. But I find that the times I do go out are Fast Food a lot more - percentage wise of the time during this pandemic.
Have you discovered any kind of new food recently?

That's ok too. Seems harder to get some things and some groceries nowaday

Oh, I know. Stores seem to be more conservative, too when it comes to stocking their shelves. They don't want to sell out before they can restock.@FayeHazel

@kaylachan Probably an alright idea there. I wish they would just limit multiple purchases.

Not a fast food frequenter. I did eat at a Hardee's once years ago and it wasn't for me. But with the virus I imagine fast food places are pretty much the only game in town.

That is probably much healthier . Good for you. I know, a lot of Hardee's - there are, well, other places I like more. But the breakfast was great (unhealthy but great) . Ah yes, I find fast food easier for now. Delivery is alright, but not a lot of variety... there's some doing to go orders, but require you to go in and pick up. Gr. Trying to avoid people.....

@dgobucks226 That's smart - picking a quieter time to shop.

@FayeHazel Yes, true... as hard as you try people cannot be avoided. I've discovered that when I do my once a week grocery shopping. I've been going at night now when their are fewer people around.

There is no such place around here but the food sounds good, The closest we have is a Burger King and a Dominoe's Pizza

Ah you're lucky to have Chinese delivery. At my mom's place we do, at my place I dont. I can get carry out, but to be honest I've had some less than stellar experiences with that place. Plus they won't even do curbside, they like you to go in and pay. Ugh. Trying to avoid people..... The one near my mom is much better. Do you like the new one near you?

@FayeHazel We won't go into anyplace we don't have to go into.
Our old place closed before we returned from Florida. Such a shock! The new place has been around for years, but we never tried it. A friend of mine always raved about it. We do love it, but they charge a 15% delivery fee. We don't care, because at least they deliver.

@DianneN True, sometimes I get annoyed with the various memberships (like the local grocery store or the Walmart ) that you can buy into to get groceries delivered or the delivery fee places have like restaurants or other services (and then tips expected on top of that) but I remind myself it is saving me from having to go in ... :-)

Probably healthier to not eat out a lot but what a luxury it is :-)

Not recently. Hardees is OK, but their food is super high in calories. Like Jo Miller I used to like the Cinnamon and Raisin Biscuits.

Oh shoot. lol. Leave it to me to pick the higher calorie place. Used to have this book (probably still do somewhere) that compared places. Apparently the WORST thing at McDOnald's is a breakfast platter and the worst for high calorie fast food is Long John's Silvers which surprised me, but then a lot of deep fried stuff, so....
I know they still got the cinnamon roll - they tried to sell me one. lol. But maybe it's different than what you mention

We don't do anything except pickup or drive thru during the pandemic. Haven't been in a restaurant to eat since the shut down in March. Hardee's is not my favorite but I used to really like their cinnamon raisin biscuits. Don't think they have them any more.

Same here. March was the last time I was to eat inside a restaurant. We have been open, closed, and open again (I think) for indoor. I just don't trust it. Though I have done patio dining a handful of times.
Oh the cinnamon raisin biscuits ? I think they still have the cinnamon roll unless that's different. The lady at the drive thru tried to get me to buy one
