I am losing hope about...

...where will I get huge money for these covid-19 vaccines? It has been days that the local news keeps on broadcasting that people who are not on the priority list need to pay it. Guess what? It will cost Php 90K+ ($1871.26+) per individual. For elite people, they will not worry about it. Do you think that I need to hope for it? Are the vaccines for free in your country? The vaccines will be completely free in the UK for everyone who needs it. Of course, they will be paid for with National Insurance contributions and taxes but nobody will pay at point of delivery. I don't know how they are going to manage to deliver 2 million doses a day, however, which is what has been promised!

That's a lot of doses in a days time. Good luck to them in that idea. I have decent insurance so that should cover any flu shots or vaccines I want to get.

@owlwings I guess we just going to witness the free vaccination there and to the other countries. Then, we just keep on being hopeful to have them.

I hope they will be free to all of us. I hope they will administer the legit ones and not smuggled vaccines.

My government showed the allotted budget for these vaccines. They still stick to their priority list. Those who are not included need to pay them.

The vaccine is free here, it is free in most countries around the world, the governments pay for the vaccine.

@LadyDuck My president is the same person as Trump. They don't care about their people's welfare.

My government cannot afford to make these vaccines free for everybody here. They cannot admit that the country lacks its fund for these things.

@Shavkat Even the poor countries are distributing the vaccine free... what a shame your government is not making an effort.

The vaccines cost an arm and a leg. I hope it will be free for all of us here. But it is not possible because we lack funds. Most of the newscasters here keep on telling the viewers to start earning money for it.

I hope they will be free here, too. Administering them to some military men was done early this year. These are smuggled vaccines from China. Now, it was a big issue.

First thing to do to keep your hope up...change your source of information. I've been hearing the projected prices since December and it's nowhere close to a fraction of what you have posted here. I just read three different sources before responding to this and they say more or less similar. Here is one source that included the number of doses for its price... Don't believe everything that you get from a social network, my friend

Let me check it. I got the first-hand information from our local news TV station. Thanks for the link.

@jrlcentral I think this TV station should be closed and let the other one be re-opened.

@Shavkat No prob. I have been hearing the prices since December that prices is between P500 and P1000 only. Though Pfizer and some other companies prized more 1K. And that's why I seldom watch TV for so many years now... and that TV station should be reported for spreading false information. Here is another link:
Congress earmarked ?72.5 billion for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines next year, but a few lawmakers pointed out that some details remain unclear like how many are expected to get the shots.

So in other words: your government doesn't care about their poor citizens. How on earth will they stop the pandemic if half your population will not be vacinated. In the Netherlands it's free.

That's the reason why most locals are whining about this issue. They are still telling us that people on the priority list will be vaccinated. Those who are not included will pay them. I am glad that they are free there.
