It Has Been A Good Saturday

I made a date to talk to my cousin Barbara on Skype this morning. Usually, Irene and I are together but with the infection rate over 8% in CT it seemed like a better idea to meet online.
What a great call it was. We haven't talked for almost a year and it was fun to catch up. We are not first cousins, her grandmother and my great grandfather were first cousins so we are I think 2nd cousins once removed. It doesn't matter. We met in person about 15 years ago and the attraction was mutual.
After the 2 hour call, I Skyped Irene and we played two games of Scrabble. It is so much fun, a little more work doing it this way but we enjoy the time together. Then talked to my brother in Georgia for about half an hour. I have spent a lot of time talking today lol
My brother in Vermont called me yesterday to talk about the new dog they got. She is adorable. They got her to be a companion to their young sheep dog "Handsome".
I made a pork loin and roasted potatoes for dinner and some cinnamon rolls. All very good.
Now I am watching the Hallmark Mysteries channel, Good Witch is playing. I think I will go to bed early, I am tired and I have 5 articles to work on over the next few days.

My friend Irene has the board and a bag of tiles on her end. I have the tiles out and my rack at my end. She draws for me and tells me the tiles I have to work with and I play with them on my rack. It is slower but it works. She shows me the board on the screen.

@Elizaby Yes but we are so evenly matched it doesn't hurt and we help each other at the end when we are getting rid of letters.

I didn't know people still used Skype. It's been zoom that's become the most popular app. Though, I personally use discord.

@BelleStarr I have it on my computer, but don't have very many contacts. Since it's now a Microsoft product, it gets updateded for Jaws use along with the rest of their products.

Skype is so easy to use, I have been using it for years and it works great so I see no reason to change. I have even added to my cell phone to talk free in Europe.

I don't understand why people won't cooperate, it is so simple and makes all the difference so you don't have to feel isolated in this time of lockdowns.
