SHORT SUNDAY OUTING

Agra, India
January 9, 2021 11:50pm CST
We are going out for a family outing today. WE have decided to go Fathepur Sikri which is a famous monument in my city. My husband's sister has been insisting hard for a few days. But i did not feel like because I'm still depressed because of my grandmother's demise. I agreed only for my husband's sake. And now I'm trying me best to divert my mind and stay happy.

Oh so sorry about the loss of your grandmother’s passing away. My condolences to your family. I guess if you will proceed with your outing l guess that would be okay because you need yo have a fresh perspective about what has happened.

@amitkokiladitya That’s true. Nothing is guaranteed a smooth life in here. We have to face this kinds of events in our lives. But this shouldn’t stop you from being happy with life. Maybe you allow yourself to grieve but don’t stay in that space for a long time.

I am sorry you lost your grandmother, but your family are right. While grief is a process, you need to get moving. A bit of fresh air will do your body good, even if you're not feeling happy. No one should force you to be happy. But, don't let yourself waste away, either. Part of healing is making sure to take care of yourself. If that means getting up taking a shower and going for a walk, then that's what you should do.

@amitkokiladitya it’s hard trying to enjoy things for other people’s sake when you are sad. Fathepur Sikri is a lovely place for a walk so long as there aren’t too many people there.
