Switching of plan... Outdoor and indoor..

Good afternoon from this side of mylot world
. It's 4:35 PM Sunday afternoon here and now I am here to mylot for a while. I am done with all that needed to be done for the weekend. Now I have all plans to be a couch potato, relax, watch TV and mylot for rest of evening. 
I need it to get refreshed and rejuvenated for another working week. 
Hope everyone is having a great weekend in their part of the world.
I had mentioned in my post yesterday that I had all plans to do gardening on Saturday. But then universe had other plans
. The cloudy Saturday morning soon gave it's way to drizzle and light shower. And I had to change my plans. So I stayed indoors on Saturday... I finished making revision worksheets, doing all soaking, grinding, peeling etc in kitchen to make and keep batters and spices ready for the coming week. Also made a weekly timetable with menus, classes and did some lesson planning for my two special children. And so it was indeed a good productive day
I woke up to a cloudy morning today and soon it was sunny Sunday
.Oh! We waited for this clear sunny day since new year beginning. .I did my laundry of two loads and they dried quickly in sun. And I did spend some good time outdoors in garden.
I had a good harvest as you can see in collage. I got turmeric, spring onions and ginger.I cleaned these pots and planted bottlegourd, garlic and some spinach today. Did wedding, cutting and cleaning. Was tired and left the rest of the work for tomorrow after my school time. Few more veggies would be ready for harvest in couple of days
Now I have done enough to relax and mylot. The load of clothes have to wait till tomorrow evening to be ironed. And I will use my tomorrow afternoon to make some good use of these turmeric and fresh ginger harvest
For now, let's mylot . No dinner to be cooked today as there is enough leftovers from lunch

@arunima25 The pink roses are in a big pot that I moved inside the greenhouse, the red roses do not need to be wrapped, they will grow back as soon as the temperature goes up.

I have kept the pot in a place that is on terrace and is in shade. But it does get some amount of sun if sun is there. Have you wrapped your beautiful roses to save them from this winter??

Good that you relaxed. Sunday should be a lazy relaxing day. I did the same since afternoon. But seems that I have pushed a lot of things for tomorrow.

Cool I recognized what was in your collage. Did you mean to say bittergourd rather than bottlegourd when you did your plantings?
I'm still looking to see if it's on the shelves to try with eggs one day.

@arunima25 here gourds are mainly used after they are dried for decorations in autumn. I'm not familiar with all their names.

Here I meant bottlegourd. It's another veggies in gourd family. We have many more...snake gourd, ridge gourd, ashgourd etc..
You can try the recipe of bitter gourd with eggs. I hope you like them.

@MarshaMusselman Yes, the pumpkin that you use for Halloween is also a member from same family. I know that you make some dishes from pumpkin there. What about other gourds?? Are they only for decorations??

@arunima25 Nothing like having our own seeds. They are the best. I always collected them but sometimes we miss that activity for whatever reason and we lose the strain forever.

@allknowing Last time I collected some for spinach and red amaranthus. They turned out really well. Bu this year I forgot all about it and I had to buy these ones. I have sowed some Amazon seeds today and I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you. Learnt a lot as young girl working with my grandparents. And these days I am following one YouTuber Ankit for gardening tips. He is good. Yesterday I watched videos of having our own seeds. I will try to do that now.

I know in countries with extreme winter conditions gardening is stay put for few months. But soon February will be here and you can be out in your garden.
