Ontario reports 2,903 new cases, 41 deaths, and 8 more cases of the new UK variant. One of those new cases is the 83 year old mother of my good friend Juanita. She's been in hospital in Hamilton for a week now, and may need to be on a ventilator soon. If you're the praying type, pray for strength for my friend to get through this.

My prayers go to your friend's mother and everybody who gets COVID especially at that age. Here in Quebec, we now have more severe restrictions and a curfew from 20:00 (8 pm) to 05. There has already been a fair amount of people who have been ticketed for infracting on the curfew. I heard that Ontario was also considering the possibility of a curfew...

I guess if common sense won't make eejits comply, maybe hitting them in the pocketbook might. A curfew wouldn't affect me as I don't go out at night, anyway.

Oh! So sorry to hear that. 83 years... The age can be a challenge to fight virus. Sending prayers and thoughts for her and her family.

Thank you. Her brother and sister have been very negative towards my friend and didn't think the mother needed to go to the hospital (she had a severe bladder infection). Luckily, my friend called the ambulance anyway and insisted she be tested for covid.
