Doing simple and common home repair are also ways of maintaining a clean and orderly house. Making sure that the home is well maintained can save a lot of money for the family. Just like keeping the house clean, house repairs are the joint responsibility of all the members of the family. It is also important to note that the family should be careful in using the house like those faucets, sinks and others so to avoid house repairs. A house is subjected to depreciation. But we cannot actually avoid home repairs. Just as long as we do the repair right away and let us not wait for the situation to get worse. My house needs it!

@cherigucchi Exactly, things tend to worsen if not well maintained.

Our house was renovated four years ago, and we still had to replace a few things here and there over the first year. But, for the most part, not much has to be done.

A stitch in time saves nine is an ideal saying in case of house also. If you do not pay attention to routine maintenance they get bigger and you have to shell out lot of money at later date.

I know what you mean - when left alone the damage can get worse and it will be an even bigger expense to repair. But sometimes there is no budget to immediately address that.

That is exactly the issue. Hubby always reminds us to be careful especially when using the sink and the toilets.

What you say is very true. We need to do repairs while they are small and easily fixed and not wait until they're so big that we have to employ someone to do the repairs for us.
