Taking It One Writing Site At A Time.

So, my original plan was to go back and forth between my Fiverr and Textbroker orders today. I started by proofreading and submitting a TB order that I had written last night (but was too tired and irritated to proofread at the time). Unfortunately, I wound up taking a nap to get rid of a tension headache bought on by a poor sleep position. I didn't sleep for too long, and I eventually got back to work. However, I was in the middle of working on a Fiverr order, and then I blinked and it was 9pm. Yikes. The order for that client was due tomorrow night, and I just proofread and submitted it. I have an order of two 500-word blog posts for another client, and she needs it by tomorrow evening, so I'm doing those tonight. It shouldn't take too long to complete them, as long as I buckle down and focus. With all that being said, I've decided to nix my Textbroker orders for today. I'm cashing out for Sunday instead of tonight, so there's no need to rush to get anything done by a certain time. My deadlines on Fiverr are a little more important right now. Once I finish these two writing orders, I'm going to call it a night with my writing. I think that's enough work for the day, and I'd really like to lie down as soon as possible. I'm tired, and I want to be lazy lol. But first, I need to be productive. Welp, I'm going to wrap this up and get started on those two blog posts for my client. I'll catch you all soon. If you are not in a hurry, I think it's a good planning to way with TextBroker and to do what you need to do in Fiverr.

Thank you so much! I agree. I needed to prioritize my tasks at that point, and the orders with the tighter deadlines needed to be done first.

@tammys85 The best is to decide to which tasks give the priority, so that we can do everything without stressing too much.

@LadyDuck Agreed, and then I won't have to worry about super-tight deadlines or working overnight or on weekends.

You are quite ambitious. What kinds of things do you write for Fiverr? I got really confused trying to look at the site. That was a long time ago. Maybe I should give it another shot. I could not remember Textbroker. I knew the Test part but not the rest.

Aw thank you. It varies, but I mainly offer content within these three categories: Apartment/Home Living (sometimes office design is mixed in as well), Family/Children and Holidays. I wanted to offer familiar categories that I enjoy. It probably wouldn't hurt to try Fiverr again. I've been on Textbroker since 2011.

@akalinus Sometimes it's a blog post, other times it's an article. Basically, it's content for them to use as they need.

I always try to pace myself to work with the most important surveys that need to be worked with before doing my other hobbies like writing fan fictions.

@tammys85 I learned that method after the hurricanes knocked the computer use last August to use my priorities wisely.

Good that you are getting enough freelancing work to keep you busy. It's good to take a break in between or just switch to other work if the current one becomes too overwhelming.

@arunima25 Right, like it becomes the same thing day in and day out, so I try to switch things up for a bit.

@tammys85 I do the same. Sticking to one for too long can be exhausting and boring too.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work! I don't think I would like working with deadlines! Best of luck with completing the ones you need to on time :)

With Fiverr, you can choose the deadlines. My lowest is two days, and the larger the word count, the longer the deadline (4 days for 500 words, 5 days for 700 words and 5-7 days for 1,000+ words). I also won't take orders from Textbroker that have a deadline of less than 24 hours. Thank you so much!

@MommyOfEli2013 No problem. And right? Anything can happen to mess with your deadline, so for ME, an 8hr deadline isn't doable. It's different if I wait until then to do it, but I mean an 8hr deadline altogether.

@tammys85 Well that is all great to know, thank you for sharing! I wouldn't take any that were less than 24 hours myself either!

Congratulations on your success with your freelance writing. Having many orders means more payment. I also accept writing jobs from some clients before but they would contact me directly and not through any freelancing platform. But since I am very busy with my day job nowadays, I already stopped accepting writing orders because I don't have enough time.

I totally get that - I've had to put up an away message just to focus on current projects. You have to remember to take care of yourself too, and you don't want to overextend yourself and stress over the deadlines. I'm still learning that one myself. And thank you!

Thank you so much, and you should always write what you love. Some topics I enjoy more than others, but I get through it (and turn down what I don't feel qualified, comfortable or motivated to do as a way to manage my time).

Thank you! It used to happen until I finally made the leap and posted a gig on Fiverr. I've learned over the years that it's not always a good idea to rely on just ONE source of income when you're self-employed.
