Exactly a month ago, I posted about the last surface I had to finish on a pair of 50-year-old loudspeakers I'm restoring for a "client."
I actually finished the surface in a week, but the speakers are still here, waiting to be picked up. I'll make $100 for my efforts. Every little bit helps right now.
I'll attach an "after" photo to this post. It is of that last surface, which I had thought might be too scratched up for even the Great and Terrible Horse to restore.
I think I used a "before" shot of the post from a month ago, which I'll attach below. Have you every worked on a project you weren't sure you could complete successfully?
I'm still working on a pair of speakers I received for restoration about three weeks ago. I finally turned the second one over after working on the other three...

I wish that I still had my stereo speakers.

@TheHorse all I have now is an old record player with built in speakers and we have an old furniture piece stereo.

@Tampa_girl7 If it has tubes in it it probably sounds good. Keep it.

You need to charge by the scratch! Fine job there, young Horsey.

@TheHorse That replacement veneer worked great, to conceal all those deep scratches.

You did a super job as usual. Yes, I've worked on projects that I wasn't sure how they'd turn out.

I only accept missions I know can complete successfully. And no one ever knows about the ones I reject because the tape self destructs and even if you called the Chief, not only would he deny everything, he'd even tell you I don't even work there.
Ishould start charging more, though. $100 is more than ten times what I make per mission.

Your customer should be happy. I hope you are making enough money for your time and effort there. And the best part is that you enjoy doing it.
