Granny Aged 102 Explored the Zoom: Can You Believe It

This morning, my 102-year-old granny contacted all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren using the zoom app. Unfortunately, I cannot join in since I am working online. Another thing is that I am having a terrible headache today. I do not have enough sleep and slept at 4 AM. I assumed that my granny is thinking of me and the rest of her loved ones. You can't sleep because someone is thinking of you. It sounds weird but I do believe in this. Does it happen to you? Is your granny a groovy one? How often do you get in touch with your loved ones? Since I don't have any relatives now, I am only attached to my immediate family. No problem with our cousins though.

@Shavkat All my cousins live in Italy, the border is closed from months, we keep in touch through Facebook.

I no longer have grandparents, all that is left are my uncles and my aunts and my nephews... Anytime we can still keep in touch when they're not busy.

@Shavkat It could be that your granny is the oldest granny in your province.

She is the only granny that we have right now. The last time that I talked to her is quite serious. She is worried about her age.

A century a two! Wow, That, indeed, is longevity.. It's a blessing. For one who does not join zoom, I do think your grandmother admirable. Perhaps the good genes were passed on to you. Warmest wishes for your dear old grandma. May she have joy-filled days reminiscing yesteryears.

@Shavkat Yes. The family must get the act together. Old grandmama is confused.

I am glad that she did this with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. However, there is confusion at that time. I suggested to my cousin to use Fb messenger and contact one family to another.

Your grandma sounds like a lot of fun, Shavkat. Uhm... sorry. I was thinking what kind of devilment I could do on your next discussion. I didn't realize it would keep you awake, though. I usually text most of my family. If I called them I'd never get them off the phone again. When I text, I can just stop when I want. *really grinning at you* And not all that often... I don't usually have anything to say to them.

@DaddyEvil Well, it is tiring when teaching slow learner students. I keep on repeating my works and statements.

I agree. Sometimes I do not want to do a video call or an audio call because I always talk when teaching online every day. I need to save my golden voice and energy. My granny is a groovy one and she also lived in LA before.

@Shavkat Exactly. I talk all day long at Walmart. I'm tired of talking after I leave work. "golden voice and energy" Okay, if you say so...

You have a cool granny! I’m in touch more than once a day with my family. My husband and I are together every day.

It is the same thing with my immediate family here. We do video calling to my younger sister who is living in another city. We don't usually call groovy granny because she is living with our evil aunt.

That's really nice of your granny. She is young at heart and such people are precious. I wish you could join. But maybe you can zoom video her another time

I hope it may happen. Early this year, we cut our ties with her siblings. One of my cousins helped her to see all her loved ones through zoom today.

@Shavkat That's so nice of your cousin to do so. It would be good if you call her personally. She is quite old and she would appreciate that you think of her.

@arunima25 We do hope to see her up close. I am not sure if we can do it even after this pandemic.

She's high spirited indeed. They said age is number. That might be true in her case.
