All of us know water is an essential for our body to maintain its metabolism and good health. We can keep away major percentage of diseases by drinking the right amount of water. I watched some YouTube videos on drinking water. There are plenty of videos available in YouTube informing the right method of drinking water like when to drink, how to drink, whether cold or hot is the right choice etc. In fact, after watching all those I become more confused. Some are saying drink only when you feel thirsty, else your brain becomes confused. Some says drink plenty of water, some other says drink water according to the body weight. I drink around 1200ml or more. 1200ml is the max quantity of my tumbler. Since I always carry it around, I tend to drink it occasionally.

I think one should consume enough liquids that our body needs with thirst or without thirst.

It was confusing to listen that idea, drink only when you are thirsty. If the climate is so cold and people may feel thirst rarely. May be the amount of water needed for that people less. Still this idea is not a wise one.

I drink water when I am thirsty. Here, it is said a man should drink approximately 3.7 liters (13 cups) of water a day and a woman should drink 2.7 liters (9 cups) a day.
