Some of the old books left

Our former home back then was infested with termites and some of the files were damage including text and other books. I manage to salvage some of them. I did not also let go those partially damage books even the side parts were eaten and covers were detached. There are no termites in our present home and while rummaging this morning, I found few of those books that I was able to save.

Those are already clean Ms. Anna. That was several years back. Before we moved, the house was already treated and cleared with termites.

@LadyDuck That is true. The treatment is also costly that's why we did the treatment and just bought the chemicals. It took sometime before they're gone.

Your books instantly made me feel hygge ( Danish culture of cozy) coz I love books too. It seems books are not safe from termites.

Termites are really hard to terminate sometimes. At least, you still get some books.

We treated it with with chemicals and that is true that it takes time before they finally gone.

I keep things like that even those very old and pages tearing already. yes, were happy to leave that the house was termite free.

Good you have save some of them... I hate termites, I remember then when they have ruined my college diploma and transcript of record that I didn't get another one until now...

I can practically smell those old books through the screen. Old books, especially books that have been read many times that the oil in our hands get imprinted in the pages, have that certain smell that makes you feel like you're in an old school bookstore or library.
