I am not here last night because...

...my mouse failed me. In fact, I was so stressed out. The online classes were ongoing and I cannot figure out what's the problem at first. The last resort is to abandon my desktop and use my laptop. Now, I am back and ready to mingle with all of you virtually today. Did you miss me? Or, are you going to miss me if not being here? Image Credit: personneltoday.com

It's defective now. I have been using it for more than 4 years. It needs to be replaced by a new one.

@allen0187 I had it now. I also changed my keyboard with lights. I asked my computer technician friend to deliver in the house two days ago.

I’m glad you got it figured out. We used to go through so many mouses. We just use the trackpad on my sons laptop now instead of a mouse.

I think that is an ideal one to use. I burned most of my calories being stressed out.

I am on and off here. I was not even here the other day. But I am trying my best to be around as often as I could. Missing you? I guess so...

@cherigucchi I got the message. I guess we need to be a multitasker during this pandemic.

Is that half meant? I cannot be absent here when teaching online. I sometimes feel bored teaching students online. I need to be here while doing it. Literally, nosebleeding moment when teaching slow learners.

@Shavkat Take it whatever you want but honestly, I miss you more when you don't drop by my posts! But you ahve a good sense of time doing multi-tasking.

My mouse's battery runs out from time to time. I'd be lost without it.

I am not used to a wireless mouse with the desktop. But I like it when using a laptop.

Did you figure out you have to gently press the key(s) on the mouse or move it around to get it to work? I'll only notice you aren't here if I'm here... I was gone for a few days. *shrug*

@Shavkat You know you can get catch-it-alive mouse traps, right? Then you don't have to buy a new mouse.

In fact, it is my niece's laptop. I just borrowed it. The good thing is that she does not have online classes.

What I do with my wireless mouse is that I use rechargeable batteries so when the one set goes out I just pop in the next and put those to recharge so my mouse is always ready to work

I can relate to you. I only use a wireless mouse for the laptop. It is just only me that I am used to a wired mouse. It is not ideal to use a laptop if teaching lots of students for a particular day. The advantage of a laptop is I can still teach if being away from home.
