My daughter at last secured a job.

The payment is less than what she drew before the pandemic began but at last she is successful in securing a job. She has joined the duties today. It is about 20 kms. from our house in village called Anjuna, close to the beach. Her first days experience is yet to be known. The job involves marketing of some products but exact details I am not aware of at the moment. She was working as Key Accounts Manager with Oyo, the hospitality service provider, before the pandemic began. The company is almost shut because of pandemic. My wife is not very happy because she will have to travel 40 kms everyday up and down . Her earlier office was just 2 kms from our house in the heart of the city. My daughter was frustrated that she could not get any job. She gave so many interviews in between. It is very difficult to get a job these days as so many companies have been shut down due to this pandemic. I am happy that at last she got something. I will know her reaction about the job later in the night when she returns from work.

Good luck to your daughter on her new job. The commute sounds brutal, 2 kms to 40 kms is a big difference.

It is not a secret but I am not fully aware of the type of the job. I know it is something dealing with the marketing of some products. She was earlier working with Oyo, an hospitality service company as key accounts manager.

@lovinangelsinstead21The businesses those are going very well at the moment are financial institutions and banks and stock markets. This is due to cheap money rich countries in the world are offering to their citizens. The stock market indices have doubled since March when they had bottomed up. The share prices of the companies continue to zoom when the the companies are doing badly. This is absurd and going to have bad effect soon.

In today's situation, it is really difficult to find a good job. Let's just be thankful if we get a job even if the salary may not be that high. I used to travel 60 kms going to my work and 60 kms to go home until we decided to stay in our place of work. I wish her good luck and congratulations on her new job.

Thank you so much. In fact we have got a vacant flat near by the place. My daughter is behind me to shift to the place but that will make my present business suffer nd my wife is not in favour of shifting.

@ARIES1973 You are very true. We have planned to sell that flat as the one we are in today is more convenient. So in no case we are shifting there permanently.

@msdivkar Oh, that would need a careful planning. Sometimes, we are in a middle of a situation when decision must be given a thorough study. There are certain things that needs to be given up in order to make things easier for us.

@thelme55 It takes lot of time to reach the place by public transport. The place is a famous for its beach but public transport is not that great. Had it been city to city it would have been convenient. It is going to be a challenge in rainy season which is 6 months away. Something has to be done before then.

Getting a job during a pandemic like this is an extraordinary moment and should be grateful. Even though initially earned a small salary, I am sure that over time the number will increase. Hopefully your daughter is happy with her new job right now.
