A postman who is employed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) is grateful that Gregory Martinez and his daughter assisted him as he was delivering their mail during a thunderstorm at night in West Corvina California. The incident happened when the postman came to the door to deliver the mail in the Martinez home when Gregory decided to assist the postman by giving him his new poncho to cover him as he would return to his delivery to finish his mail carrier route. Since the mail carrier had a hard getting on the poncho since he was wearing a headlamp, Gregory and his daughter assisted the mailman to get his poncho on so he could go on the rest of his delivery route safe and sound. My guess is that the thunderstorm came suddenly during his delivery route or the mailman did not receive the weather report before he went on his delivery route that day.

I agree with your guess. So kind to give him the poncho.

If he was still delivering at night, he probably didn't expect to deliver that late and got caught in the storm.

That is most likely what happened.

The mailman would have been soaked without the poncho.

You are right since it must have been raining cats and dogs in California even though not in a literal sense.

I agree with you since delivery drivers work extremely hard to get their jobs done.

That's a close call. Lucky he didn't get struck by lightning.
