Just Received Vaccine

United States
January 28, 2021 6:49pm CST
I just got home, after receiving my first vaccine. After I got it, I had to wait for fifteen minutes to see if I had any kind of reaction. After fifteen minutes, the receptionist told me I was free to go. I feel ok, actually I thought it would hurt a lot worse than it did. I go back for the second shot on February 25. I got the Moderna. It was pasted on facebook last night, that they were out of vaccine. So I called to check, but because I had already made an appointment, I was able to get it. The nursing home called today, and said we will be able to make window visits pretty soon. Oh, I almost forgot when I went to get my vaccine, I had a mask on, but I had to put another on, they gave me on top of my mask I already had on.

@popciclecold They are out here in Alberta. I feel like the other countries will catch up and then they will have vaccine to sell to Canada. And Canada is getting ready to start manufacturing it too. So, they are saying September, but I am hopeful.

I had on a mask when I got there, and they made me put on another one, on top of mine. They are really cautious about the UK variant, and we heard today that the one from South Africa is here in one of the Carolinas. They are suggesting 2 masks.

Sounds like what hubs went through. Double masking is necessary now due to the new strains.
