I remember the music of the late Glen Campbell. Galveston is one my favorite songs.

In the 60's, we lived in Galveston for a year. i have since visited there several times, it's no longer the quaint fishing village I hold in my memory. It's still really nice and I love it, including taking the car over on the ferry, but it's all ritzy now compared to back then, with the condos, big hotels, etc. Have a great time!

@crossbones27 — sure. I wouldn’t want to try it in high waves and wind, but it was a nice ride over to Galveston. The price was right, too (free).
