Normally I give weather reports in song to @DocAndersen . But for today’s song with “heart” in the title it’s a different kind of weather forecast. Before I go cause all kinds of trouble I’ll present today’s song for your listening pleasure. Raining in My Heart - Buddy Holly And it’s an irony that it shows up now, given that Wednesday marks the 62nd anniversary of Holly’s death. Unintentional. It’s here because it’s a great song (and this part of the list is alphabetical). There’s another irony coming up in a couple of days. Meanwhile, enjoy this tearjerker, written by the great Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, the team that gave us so many of the Everly Brothers’ classic tunes. (And they also wrote “Rocky Top.”) It doesn’t sound like those rocking tunes of Holly’s, but this shows that he was willing to adjust and would’ve easily continued on with success....if only....
