Health Report for February 1

Yes, for today. I know it's early in the day. I haven't written down any calories and I didn't go to the gym today. So, why am I giving a report without any data? It's the first of the month. My weight has climbed again. I know I had a couple of things this past weekend not on my diet, but on the whole, I kept to my diet. I'm going to weigh myself once a month so I don't get bummed about the weight. I know when I was on Whole30, I did okay with not weighing myself and saw the pounds come off. January 1 my weight was 182.2 February 1 my weight is 179.6 With all the ups and downs of the last month, I came down 2.6 pounds. I'm not thrilled, but at least it's less than my beginning weight for 2021. I'm still trying to get back to my all-time low of 170.2. I didn't go to the gym today because every muscle in my body was hurting. Especially my knees. I'm moving slow today. At least I'm moving. I tried the foot cycle, but my knees screamed at me to stop. Yes, I've been pushing myself. I do that. I want to get back to normal so bad, I'm doing what I can to make that happen. I think doing the stairs on Friday might have been too soon for me to try that. However, I did it, and since I did, I'll keep working on it when I'm at my son's to do laundry. I'm not using the Fitbit anymore. I took it off Saturday. I have my watch, and that's good enough. I also have a pedometer my friend at the pool gave me a while ago. The steps I'm getting now, are true steps, not fake ones induced by the swing of my arms. It doesn't give me steps, but miles. I don't have a lot of miles yet, not even one, but every step adds up. Okay, that's my report for this first day in February. My next weigh-in will be March first. I'm finished with the notifications for the second time today. It's time for me to get work done on Vendetta. My goal is to finish it by the end of the month. I don't know how much I have left. I'll know when I finish it. How are you doing with your health and fitness? Do you have any goals for this month or this year? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

You are still doing a fine job and the weekend pounds will vanish. My Fitbit doesn’t move unless I am walking and swinging my arms. Not wearing the one someone sent me nor am I wearing any. I exercise every day. Today it was indoors.

@just4him Lol! Ok. Getting up and moving frequently is so important.

Thank you. I know they will, but I'm not stepping on the scale again until March 1. Or maybe February 23 as I have a hospital appointment that day and they need my weight for the medication dosage. It feels funny not wearing it after wearing it for so long. I get up and walk around the apartment so I don't get too stiff.

I hope to get the scales going down again. I’ve been stalled for awhile.

I hope you do. I'm trying to get them to go down too. I know what you're facing. I've been stalled since the beginning of the year.

That's a shame your knees are hurting so much. Hopefully they improve soon.

They're doing better today. I still stayed home though. I plan to go to the Y tomorrow if everything works out well.

@JudyEv I hope so too. I thought about going today but decided I would see how my knees are doing. They're good. I'm working out on the foot cycle today.

Well I think that sounds like a good plan, and hope that it works out for you. I don't know that I could go the whole month without stepping on the scale. I just need to know how I am doing. Best of luck though!

Thank you. It was hard not stepping on the scale this morning. I did it before when I first started the diet, so I know I can do it again.

@just4him Well that is good, even if it is hard at first. When I lost weight 10+ years ago I was only weighing once a week. But I lost a lot because I was working out 3 hours a day, every day

Success don't happen overnight after all. Don't push yourself too much. You'll get there eventually.

We take the cell phone with us when we go for a walk. It says over a mile each time and we just go the same way each time. So if we forget the cell phone we still went over a mile.

That's good you get a mile at a time when you walk.

My team of specialists told me to stay at 110 as getting bigger would make things even worse, not easy,

I'm trying to get close to that. 110 for me is too light. I need 115 - 118.

You're doing really well, and as you say much better to weigh yourself less often. Weight fluctuates naturally so it's silly to get worked up if you 'gain' a few ounces.

Thank you. Yes, it's better on my mind and I don't beat myself up over those ounces.
