Inconsiderate Saleslady

I remember the woman in the pharmacy few meters away from home upon reading @RebeccasFarm post about the pharmacy and its people in their place. I don't have problems when I'm the one buying there because my face is already very familiar to them. Although, I should say that they approach customers differently compare to bigger pharmacy with established names. A week ago, I ordered my niece to buy me a laxative in that pharmacy. And because I don't have a loose change, I handed her the 500 peso bill. Unfortunately, she went home empty handed because the saleslady did not give her the medicine because they don't have change for the money. My niece asked a favor if she can bring the medicine and will just leave the money as guarantee. She can drop by at the pharmacy later that day as she would also go to the school of her son to get the module. The saleslady rejected her request. Very inconsiderate knowing that the medicine is much needed that time.

I understand that it was not a "life saver" medicine, but she was rude.

I felt so.unwell that time and I think my stomach is full of gas, unable to pass stool and, BP's up and that would be the cause of the numbness in my upper extremities.

I expect the person to give a little consideration because we are familiar faces and buy there most of the time. But, yes that's sad reality.

@ZedSmart when money is involved, it takes more than a familiar face to trust someone.

@allen0187 They've nothing to lose had they favor the request because as guarantee, niece will leave the money under their keep until they can change it or we could find way to have the lower amount enough to pay just one tablet for urgent intake when she come back.

Yes, there are just people like that and we can't force them to understand us and our need.

That is not good at all. The shop-keeper didn't stand to lose out so why not hold the money but give you the product.

It takes all kinds of people in this world it seems. Kindness only takes a few seconds.

I agree. It's just unfortunate that I'm the one needing it. If I was the attendant, I'll grant that request.

In this world it's all about money. I hate people who are rude like that, but it is what it is. You can't change people. And, you or she could've caught her on a bad day. Hope you can resolve the situation.

Wow that is very sad that that woman let your niece go away with out the needed medicine. She may have been a bit more compassionate. Sorry to hear that.

Yes, that was a little favor and there would be nothing to afraid with because the money will be left at them. Things I try to understand. Thanks.
