Heya all, I love a lot of good films of today and also of yesterday meaning way back ones too.
I veer well clear of the violent ones not for me sorry.
One that comes straight to mind is of "Ivanhoe" its in colour made in 1952.
Gorgeous Robert Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor starred in it well and others also.
Found a less louder version of the soundtrack of Miklos Rozsa he was genius in music for Films.
Its a good story of way back times in Great Britain and its far less gruesome of some of the films you can get to see that is for sure.
Its coming up to the 14th soon so I think its a really really good one for romance.
Rebecca and Wilfred of Ivanhoe, intrigue very well played out by both of them hats of to all and here is to a great day ahead.

I too don't like to watch anything violent unless it's a very good storyline.

Me neither, but there are very few good storylines around right now they sort of the lose the theme of the storyline almost at the start so off putting for me at least.
I stick mainly with older films and documentaries of interest.
World War Two films are out for me for a start off also.

it was made in 1952 but it far outweighs all the rest of the duplicates they have made after tthat.
I watched one and it was like they had taken all the real feeling out of it.

I saw it on Amazon Prime Streaming Video but it's for rent for $2.99 which I might still do @lovinangelsinstead21 Those old movies are better than some of these new ones even though often those old movies did not follow facts.

I have seen the film - loved the novel by Sir Walter Scott - it has Robin Hood in it too

Its about Great Britain for me and they put it all together really well in the film.
I did read the book too but the film had more impact on me.

Yes I know but when it gets way out of hand we turn it over and watch something else or maybe even switch it off.
