This was borrowed from The daily star-mirror. (Moscow, Idaho) 1911-1939, February 08, 1921 Found on chroniclingamerica.loc.gov
As you might already notice, this came from the same paper as my earlier post. There on the top right is a snippet of the comic I showed you guys earlier. This caught my eye. The sisters had not seen each other in forty two years. I have questions about this/
How old were the sisters? Why had they not met in all those years?
My interpretation of the article is that this was not a case of sister's separated at or near birth. I feel like the sisters were possibly in their late 60's or so. To me it seems that they both married off and moved in separate directions.
What say ye?

Yes, it seems like more and more families spread out and correspondence even in this modern day isn't easy.

@CarolDM I think there are some ways we are even busier than our ancestors before us.

Now that's surprise. With no cell phones, texting or e-mail back then I guess losing touch for so long is definitely possible. Especially, if they went in different directions in their lives. But quite shocking still!

Yes. I wonder if one of them was not able to read or write? That might be a reason for not corresponding.

Right. So many reasons but I guess the family felt it was important enough to write about in the papers. Sometimes I wonder about these. Were they prominent figures in the community? Must be or why else would something so silly be written about.

Some still are @ScribbledAdNauseum but women are no longer quite as dependent on men as they once were.

Oh yes, definitely. Men were a lot more dependent on women in those days as well.

@RebeccasFarm Yes, I don't see my own sister very often at all. These two ladies, however, I can video chat if need be.

One sister by blood, and two that are my very best friends and the sisters I choose.

It could be a hundred different reasons. I'm glad they were reunited though. Haven't seen my brother in over 50 years.

I haven't seen my sister in a few years and there are cousins I haven't seen since my early 20's.
