Don't burn your tongue / myLot

I made hot chocolate after work because it's too cold outside. I made it too hot but I keep drinking it while it's hot and then try not to burn my tongue. Don't you hate when you burn your tongue but know better?

Yes, I hate it. I have done that oftentimes because I forgot at that moment that it was still hot.

And we don't know all the time how hot it will be. Sometimes it cools too quickly if we wait too long.

@MarshaMusselman That's right. I usually burnt my tongue when I am writing and automatically got the mug of hot tea.

My little son does this all the time. We tell him to test his food/drink out but he often doesn't

I think kids have a harder time knowing although I have a hard time knowing when it's pizza I'm eating.

I do that usually with freshly brewed coffee. It's warm and soothing and I want to drink it, but then it's hot. so I have to let it cool. So, yes. I do, and I've been there.

While I want found very well letting it cool somehow my tongue came out the winter because it didn't get burnt after all.
