Falling Rain and Deck Icicles

A couple of days ago we have about an inch of snow. Snapped this photo on the deck beside the bird feeder. A few icicles stayed all day.
All night we had rain, and it is still falling. A light rain but just rain. Just to the north many are getting ice. Freezing ice is so dangerous. There have been several accidents due to this weather. Makes the roads very slippery.
Thankfully we are getting rain with a few pieces of ice, but not bad at all. Everyone stay safe out of these dangerous roads.
Photo is mine.

I wish we could see icicles form here. There was one year where we actually got ice on our sidewalks - that was odd - but slippery like you said, and that would be quite dangerous for CA drivers who don't know how to drive in super cold conditions.

Such a gorgeous photo. I love the blurred snow in the background.
Rainy day here for us.

@CarolDM I haven't played around with my Iphone camera yet. I mean, I've taken some photos but haven't tried to be creative wtih it yet.

I'm glad you didn't get a really bad ice storm. That 75-car pileup was horrible. Have a good weekend.

They goofed here, because they said all the trouble was going to be south of us. We got, according to the midday news, half an inch of ice. Kudos to our power company, though, who has been out there in the cold and bad conditions restoring the power. Most of the power outages from last night were gone off the outage map by the time I woke up this morning.
