1-3 inches turned into 3-5. How did you fare from the lastest snow storm?

And now that it's over it might actually be a good six inches of snow out there waiting for me to move it around. I got it done early since I work today at noon. I didn't finish but got enough done for today and I'm hoping I won't regret doing more later if it freezes or something. I felt I needed a break because some of the ends of my fingers were going numb. Now that I've been inside with a cup of coffee my fingers seen back to normal again. The driveway seemed like it had four inches but I'm guessing the wind swept some of it elsewhere. The ramp and porch certainly had six or seven more inches. The top picture is the ramp and you can see the snow inside the railing and some pulled up between the railing and the window. The bottom is what's left on the porch. I only shovel enough to allow the mail lady access to our mailbox or to give me room to bring groceries in that door. How did the rest of you do? Did you get what your forecast said or more or less?

We got more or less what they said we would. About the same as you. 3-5 inches depending on where you live. We got about 5. Had to shovel it since I could not get the snow blower started. Oh well. Supposedly we get a break today and another 3-5 on Wednesday.

I've not looked ahead yet to see what if anymore is coming. Some guys were talking and said we got 5.5 inches.

@MarshaMusselman Luckily now they are saying we might only get an additional dusting. Looking forward to next week Tuesday when we are supposed to be back into the 50s.

@porwest Dustings are much better than inches especially when you don't have your new blower yet. It temps will be climbing but not that high yet. Even thirties with lows in the teens to twenties will be welcome here.

No problem there. I do need to go out later and salt my front steps and finish blowing the snow from my side of the driveway. I'll wait until it warms up though as it's still fairly frigid outside right now.

@rakski I didn't need to leave for myself but I needed to go pick up my husband coat which someone accidentally took home with them yesterday. Now he'll have a cost to wear when he works Friday since it'll still be fairly cold here.

We got about four additional inches last night. I shoveled the back yard a bit, early this morning.

Well then either the extra on the ramp and porch was blown there or we were closer to the center of the storm since you and I are somewhat close to one another.

@MarshaMusselman 30 miles south of Tawas, got heavy snow. You and I aren't located close together! We're over 65 miles north of Bay City and right beside Lake Huron. Our weather is totally different than yours, every day of the week. Ten miles west of us, they got twice as much snow as we did. We don't live close to the Midland area

@kobesbuddy well I meant your life closer than those in illinois, connecticut and Texas.. Our weather can be totally different from saginaw and Bay City too even though we're in close proximity to them.

The sun melted the snow here a little bit then later it either freezes or gets hard again. We won't have spring until well into April. If we're lucky maybe by the first but that's not happened here for ten years or more.

@thelme55 the sun is out and will melt some snow but then tonight it will freeze on top of the snow that is left. The temps here says almost 30F which might be closer to your 0C unless my thermometer is broken. We got another dusting of snow last night. Enjoy your Friday. You've probably been up for hours by now. It's still morning here and I'm having my coffee before I have to get up and get more work done.

Be careful if and when you do venture out there. I put salt down where needed to make sure I don't fall.

It's not been warm enough for rain yet. I'm hoping when the temps get better next week that any rain starts away so it doesn't freeze at night.

Our forecast wasn't as bad as they predicted. We got some sleet and then it all turned to rain. Luckily nothing is icy this morning and the dogs were able to go out without breaking their necks. Watching the news and seeing what's going on it's just crazy. Hope you have a good day, stay safe when going out.

The roads weren't too bad but I tend to drive just below the speed limit so I don't lose control.

We have had very little snow this winter. Sometimes we do get some big storms in March. Hopefully, as it's too dry here.
