Stomp, stomp, stomp

Awake, awake, awake
Over and over and over again
until finally I got a new set of earplugs out and now
Quiet, quiet, quiet
Sleep, sleep, sleep
I should have thought of that sooner.
My husband has a prosthetic leg and probably has never considered trying to walk softly with it. Therefore, when I'm in bed I here him coming and going. When he's in bed I hear him snoring unless he's facing to his right which is hard to do all night long.
I have a box of earplugs I got from my sister some time back. I've been using the same ones for awhile now. It looks like I needed to throw the old ones out since that was the problem with me not sleeping well all along.
I've been sleeping so much better ever since, yay!

I can’t stand earplugs they make me feel like my head will explode but I am very glad that they work for you

I'd prefer not to use them because one ear gets wax and if I didn't need the ear plugs it might drain naturally.
Eventually I hope to get another king sized bed and then I may not need the plugs anymore or maybe only on the one side.

Same as @BelleStarr I have the feeling that my head explodes if I wear earplugs.

@MarshaMusselman I pity those who work the night shifts, you cannot oblige people to keep quiet during the day.

@LadyDuck nope, but most neighbors only mow weekly. I needed to sleep once I got home because for hours later I was going out with my crew for jobs. Then if sleep again before cashiering another four hours.
Not the best but my body got used to it.

Sometimes my ears will ring. But not often. I first began using them when I worked the night shift as my neighbor mowed the lawn almost every day.

Good for you that the new earplugs are helping you get some shut-eye.

I guess I didn't realize they would deteriorate over time.

@MarshaMusselman I guess all things deteriorate over time after much usage.

@allen0187 I guess so and I'm glad I figured that one out when I did.

Yes it has been overall. Eventually the ear plugs must break down because I'm having to change them more often.

They do and these work so much better than the type that are preformed smaller at one end.

We're in a pretty quiet neighborhood. We've had days or nights when a door didn't get locked and still no one broke in so I think we're safe on that score.
If my hubs would consider a sleep apnea machine I think I wouldn't need the ear plugs but so far he won't even get tested.

@CarolDM I understand. I did live in a house once that was broken into and that door was locked. This guy shows up in our bedroom and turned on the light. Freaky. But he was there to steak the little money we kept in a basket from tithes taken at a fellowship. I'm guessing he thought we had lots of cash in there and he might have gotten twenty bucks.
He had come to one of our meetings that's how he knew about it. He didn't bother any of us girls so that was good.

@MarshaMusselman A quiet place here too, I just lived alone many years and it is a habit even though I sleep all night.

There not the greatest but for now my only option. Then I don't have to wake him up through the night to shift a bit. With his last surgery they removed a section of muscle from his right side to fill in a hole caused by a hernia from a leaking blood vessel. It's now hard for him to sleep on his side which is the ideal way for him not to snore.

I'm not in a bad mood much but then I don't need as many naps especially in days that I worked.
