I guess that's the best way for me to describe this random discussion. It's going to be a mix of things on my mind and of course broken up into topics.
Din Din
Going to be making the taco soup I like to make but using chicken instead of ground beef. I'll season the chicken with my own taco seasoning. I'm going to brine the chicken, then rinse and season it and bake it and then shred it. Lots of steps but atleast I will know it's tender and It's less cleanup for me this way.
Finished Chicago Fire
I'm nearly caught up with Chicago Fire. There is an episode that airs tonight, but I haven't watched last week's episode. I'm hoping I can get it on peacock today since it wasn't available yesterday. I'm debating whether I want to watch Chicago Med or Chicago PD. I tend to like one part of a show series better than the others....
Sweet Dreams Are NOT Made Of This
Last night's dreams were a roller coaster. I remember at one point being in my mom's house and cleaning it out of possessions again. I hate these dreams, and yet they seem to be somewhat recurring. Another part of the dream had me trying to peel the plastic away from my dry erase board, but the dry erase board itself started to crumble. Then there was another part where I was having to get through some obstacle. I can't recall it as much but my brain kept thinking of the movie The Ring.
Crochet
I'm still working on the scarf, but I feel like I keep finding more and more things to put on my "to be crocheted" list. I'm thinking I might crochet an outfit for my build a bear.

You have a lot going on your brain. I too get such random and weird kind of dreams when I have a lot going in my mind and it's all jumbled up. And for your crochet list , you can keep going and finishing one after the other.

Oh yes! My mind does not want to rest when I'm feeling very stressed. I might work on each one of the crochet projects each day. thirty minutes for one, thirty minutes for another...

@ScribbledAdNauseum That's a good plan. Working with hand is therapeutic. Any artwork or craft works as a therapy.

@arunima25 You are right! I am going to try to make some crafts with blocks that I found at the dollar tree (everything is $1) here.

Your dream shows a lot of frustration in your life, you give your best only to reach another obstacle. Your taco soup sounds delicious! Enjoy:) I'd love to see your scarf, when it's finished:) Clothes for your bear? Wonderful idea!

Oh yes, I know that I've been stressed and anxious lately and I know that's reflected in my dreams. My nephew was a big part of my dream last night and I haven't seen him in months. I'm basically making the same scarf I made several months ago but the colors will be slightly different. I should have it finished within the next few days. Just five or seven more rows to go, depending on when I think it's wid eneough.
Yes, I'm sure I can find patterns for what I want.

@ScribbledAdNauseum My mother use to make clothes for my Barbie Doll, without a pattern. She did a good job!

That's the most organized set of rambles I've ever heard of. Most people I know just type what comes to mind, myself included. Even if it sounds like I've forgotten how to speak English.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Like me? Because of course, the one thing I notice is how neat the thread is.

@kaylachan Nope, not like you. I felt your response was reasonable. I've had people who didn't even comment on any of the topics of the post or anything to do with the post at all. That frustrates me, but your comment was fine.

I find that most people aren't going to pay attention here if I make these discussions disorganized. I get some pretty random and weird responses when I'm not organized with them.

@thelme55 That is what I have a dry erase board for now. Ideas I have or things I need or want to accomplish. It keeps me accountable.

New episode tonight. I checked the Peacock app and it hasn't released episode 6 for the free users. I don't think I want to purchase a subscription to peacock just for one show though.

@CarolDM I usually watch the news at 9 pm, but well lately I've been reading more than watching the news.. It just plays in the background. I might watch Chicago Fire tonight instead. I'm rooting for Brettsey, what about you?

Hope you enjoy your soup!
I didn't know there were all those Chicago shows, and such....I haven't watched any myself.
Sorry to hear about the dreams, I wouldn't know what to think of dreams like that. I don't even remember the dreams I had last night.
and crocheting an outfit for your build a bear sounds adorable! That sounds like it would be fun

I hope it will be fun and not frustrating. I've crocheted my own blouses so it can't be much different.
I'm using this recipe but using chicken instead.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yeah and I'm willing to bet I could find some patterns specifically for a build a bear.
I've made this soup several times and with hamburger it tastes more like a beanless chili to me.
I'm subbing chicken bone broth for beef bone broth today and the chicken of course.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Well, I hope it will be fun for you! And that makes sense, similar....just a smaller version!
Thanks for the recipe, I looked...and I could sub the things and make it to fit my picky-ness lol. I may try it sometime!

It was just as tasty with the chicken as I hoped it would be. I will have to use chicken again some other time.

Okay, I'm going to frame this response in the same order as your discussion starter.
Food Do you like/Have you ever tried Shawarma? Pretty and I make it quite a bit and we both love it. It's a one pan dish. We just make a huge pan of it and I freeze half (in single serving Ziploc bags) for later. That way we can just pull a package out of the freezer and heat it up in the microwave whenever we feel like it. Little mess and little clean up which I like. (I've never heard of taco soup.)
TV I haven't watched a tv show in 13 or 14 years so wouldn't have the faintest idea what's on/what's good. (When the networks came out with shows like Big Brother and tried to make people believe it was unscripted, I shut the tvs off and we only turn them on to watch a dvd on them. I told Pretty that nobody acts like that in real life so it had to be fake.)
Dreams Oops! Part of that may have been my fault for talking about The Ring with you yesterday.
Sorry about that.
Crochet
Making an outfit for your build a bear might be tricky. I always hated making things that small and fiddly. Bedspreads, yes... scarves, yes... curtains, yes... ribbons, once... smaller than that, nope.
Edit for a misspelled word.

You're stressed and thinking about far too many things. Relax, take a breath and do one thing at a time. Looking forward to seeing your next project. I had a dream that my boss was super nice to me. Long story; but I was shocked. Have a great day.

I think that would have been a shock to me as well, to have a nice boss.
I'm about to write a discussion about my dream last night. I have to agree with you about the stressed and thinking of far too many things though.
