This afternoon, barangay officials came to our house and ask some information from my senior citizen mother. They asked about any allergies to drugs and other health conditions. The last question caught my attention if she is going to have the vaccine or not. My mom is not decided yet. Then, a barangay official said some senior citizens in our area do not want Chinese vaccines.
According to them, AstraZeneca would be the vaccine choice in my city. Well, we just told them that my mom will get it.
What do you think is the best vaccine at present?

Here we will not have a choice. Just what the authorities order.

@Shavkat I am not quite sure on this whether we have a choice to refuse.

Every country seems to have their own vaccines. It's is using from at least two manufacturers if not three.
I've signed up as well.

@MarshaMusselman We are also hoping that there will be no side effects.

@Shavkat there may not be only one that ends up being the best for everyone. We have to believe for the best outcome whichever one we get.

No idea what the best vaccine is at this time but I'm not getting any vaccine from China as well.

None. People should not be rushing such a thing, and it should not be a plug-and-play society. But, we are.

@Shavkat That's what you should aim for. Be as informed and educated as possible. Don't be afraid to say 'no' until you understand it.

@Shavkat I am an expert on myself, so I will answer in my own name and opinion - Not to any vaccine currently offered (as far as this virus is concerned)

@Shavkat According to the constitution of my country, that is impossible. It takes a long time to change the constitution and believe me, they already have enough problems on the streets from dissatisfied citizens that another problem does not occur to them. Only on January 1, 200,000 people lost their jobs ... there are frequent demonstrations, from the union of postal workers, through freelancers... they are rude but they are not so crazy as to make an even bigger problem because there are really a lot of people here against vaccination with these untested vaccines.
And as for the countries in the region, where proof of vaccination is mandatory, I simply will not go there ... border test yes, vaccination no, very clear
