My car is fixed

The photo has nothing to do with the post. We were at a music festival when these storm clouds sent everyone scurrying for shelter.
Some time back, I broke my car. The door-handle came away in my hand. Luckily, we were able to pick up a brand-new one from the wreckers. Fitting it has been on the back-burner for some weeks but today was the day Vince tackled the replacement.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go well and in the end he took the car and all the bits into our nice, friendly smash repair person who fitted the new handle although not without some difficulty. He didn’t want to charge for it but it took him about 40 minutes to fit so Vince persuaded him to take $50 to buy him and his co-workers a drink. It’s Friday evening so they were off to the pub for a beer.
So my car is all systems go again which is nice. And we can now cross ‘Fix car door handle’ off our list of things to do. At the rate we’re going, we’ll run out of tasks soon.
And I’m off to bed now so I’ll catch you all tomorrow.

It's good to be able to get into the car from the driver's side again.

@JudyEv Too bad it sent everyone scurrying for shelter. The storms in Florida are amazing and so sudden. It can be so sunny and then boom, a dark cloud rapidly floats in and one is soaked. It is sunny on one side of the street and soaking on the other. I usually cross the stree to the sunny side.

Good grief, I would never run out of tasks..I just don't have the desire to do them. If you run out of tasks you could always just stick your head in a book, write a letter, or take a snooze in or outdoors. Congrats on the door handle!

Everything turned out great! And, if you run out of things to do, come see me!
I’ll give you free lodging and you’ll be able to walk to the Kentucky Derby!

My husband hasn't even looked at his "to-do" list. I'm so glad your car is fixed.
