My daughter sure can turn a phrase

The other day after we had an icy snow storm, she laughingly described how her dog went down the back steps by comparing what she saw to Bambi trying to walk on a frozen pond. I laughed along with her because she's so good at describing and imitating what she saw. But, yesterday morning after she left for work, she texted me to tell me to salt the sidewalk because of how slippery it was. Her text read: "they came out to salt the sidewalk which you should do cause I baby Bambi’d my way to the road.") I had to read it twice before it clicked what she was describing. I had to laugh and I will now forever look at slipping on the ice as "baby Bambi"ing..

I understand. It's scary even when you're used to it. Walk through the snow rather than on the icy sidewalk. Unless the snow is compacted and solid, you should have better traction there.

I don't trust snow either @jerzgirl not that I have a lot of experience with snow but every time it's snowed here .... usually every few years or so .... I've slipped on it so I stay indoors when ever it does these days ....... er, years.

And because she wrote it down, I'll always remember it.

I like the use of the term Bambi in the person in your post talked about the icy snow storm.
