There was extra milk in the fridge and thought of using it . Actually sheeta is made with water but since I wanted to use the milk I prepared it with milk. Sheera is kind of a rich dish as it has plenty of ghee, sugar, and nuts. The semolina which is the main ingredient has to be roasted in ghee as also the nuts. It turned out quite good. Ghee is bad for cholesterol but I suppose occasionally one must forget all that What say?

@allknowing I found a recipe for it online. We'll have to go to the store and get ingredients, but yes, it sounds easy enough to make.

As long as you enjoy it why not, I do not like too many sweet things so I mostly eat savoury kinds of foods,

When you heat butter it turns into ghee. It can also be done if you heat milk cream. I used to make my own ghee from milk cream.

I don't like semolina but we have extra milk at the moment too. I will probably make rice pudding with it.

Halwa needs a lot of stirring and it is cut while sheera is spooned.
