Well, actually it was to the Red Cross, but you know they are helping out down there. It was on Paypal. Easy, peasy to do it that way. We all need to help each other. I don't know anyone personally in Texas other than a couple online, if you can count that, but it seems that just about everyone was affected.Speedy recovery and prayers for those in Texas.

Thank you, God knows it wasn't a fortune, but it's the thought that counts right??

@much2say Sure, even if it just buys a cup of coffee or a sandwich it helps.

Yes, it's improving, but the last I heard some people still don't have water. Unfortunately ately, with climate change, we are at to see more of this type of thing in the future I used to think that ele rict deregulation was a greatcthing..and we should have it here too. It's a nightmare apparently. Some who's power stayed in ended up with bills in the thousands!!

@LadyDuck Well, you may also at some point go into a deep freeze. It is highly unusual for Texas to be in a deep freeze like that.

@snowy22315 I fear that we are going to face more problems caused by the climate change in the future. The past 10 years I have seen an acceleration. Our winters are no more as cold as they used to be, we have less snow, we will have to grow different things in the near future.

@snowy22315 I think a lot of people got totally turned off with the last big fires here a few years ago. The Lord Mayor's Appeal Fund is local but wouldn't pay out to businesses which seemed fair in a way but then it turned out that every dairy farm was registered as a business so they looked like getting no help for this fund.

Sure it is so easy, and if you can spare even a little cash, it is a good thing to do.

In my country, often there are problems in which you have to lend a hand.

Yes, I do a bit of that too, but mostly animals. I was tempted to go for an animal charity yesterday, but under this circumstance, I felt the humans needed it more.
