I like sweets and we always have them on hand around the house, especially for my hubby's daily lunch for work.
I help myself to them at times too though but it is sure not helping me to get motivated to lose any kind of weight.
I just cannot put that danish down! The older I get, the worse it has become!
Can you?
What is your favorite sweets?

Cookies do that to me. My boss keeps our office full of candy, and that does not help either as I am diabetic.

Oh my. That is a hard one for me too. I could not resist it either. Sorry to hear that you are a diabetic. I was borderline last time I was checked.

I don't crave sweets the way I once did. Most of the sweets I eat are keto sweets, so the sugar acts differently in my body and not many keto sweets are overly sweet.
My favorite sweet of all time? Oh that's a hard question. Potato Candy, I guess.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Wow!! That would be nice to have.
I think I do remember that kind of sweets with the potato now that you explained it to me.

@stephcjh It's just confectioner's sugar, a boiled and mashed potato (no heavy cream or butter added) and peanut butter. It's delicious but takes a lot of sugar to do.
There's one sweetener, Allulose, that doesn't impact blood sugar very much. I don't know the full science behind it, but your body basically filters the sweetener fully out.

I used to eat too many sweets and was fat on and off all my life. I learned that diets did not work for me that I would gain the weight back and then I finally a little over 3 years ago got sick and tired of being fat. I gave up things and started on a journey of weight loss. I went down to half of what I was and felt so much better. I can look at food now and not really want it and that helps me on fast days that we have. It takes time to get to the point I got to. I used to do a lot of walking but since the corona I do my online workout instead. I still eat sweets but I eat them in moderation now. It takes time. i will not say it is easy because it is not. Sorry if I went on and on. Sorry if that is not what you were looking for in a response. I guess I just wanted to share a little of my journey.

Thanks for sharing your journey with me. I am very happy for you. I know it takes a lot of dedication to make it happen.
With my health conditions, it limits me a lot along with working so much online as well. I am trying to do what I can around the house every day and work in trying to get some cleaning and things done as well.
summer is coming up also and there will be constant yard work to do also.
I plan to start some mild exercising once I get caught up with housework, if that ever happens.

I am sorry about your health conditions. You are welcome for sharing my journey with you. Thanks and I am happy about it and want to make sure I never gain that weight back again. It took me a long long time before I did something for myself and not for others. Do what is best for you to do.

Don't put anything chocolate in front of me, or it will be eaten.

@xstitcher I do sometimes but prefer milk chocolate. I like white chocolate too, especially on pretzels.
