...pork meat? For me, I cannot live without it in my system. It happened when I was having a medical mission in Tajikistan a decade ago. For those who do not know, it is a Muslim country. It is forbidden to eat this.

My old lady translator offered to find some and eventually, I turned down the idea. Besides the point, I do not want to be in prison.

To cut t short, I did not eat pork meat for one year at that time and became a vegan forcibly. The good thing is that I lost 10 lbs.

In my city, pork meat is so pricey at present. It seems that I am going to stop eating them for now. Are you a meat lover? Can you survive without it? Image Credit: media1.tenor.com

Not eating pork won't help you lose weight or keep you from getting bigger.

The price spikes last month due to scarcity. As far as I can remember, it is caused by the swine virus.

Since I did not have the choice in that country, I just need to divert myself in eating healthy food during the period of stay in Tajikistan.

It seems that I survived for a year. I am not sure if I can make it for another year.

At that time, I mostly consumed vegetables and fruits.

Pork is probably THE primary meat in our house and I just love it. Luckily here pork is very inexpensive compared to other types of meat.

No pork for me! But those pork chops sizzling in that pan would be perfect if it was a steak! I'm cutting down on meat and a part time vegetarian
