Giving something away shouldn't cost someone money!

This lady does a Facebook live video daily and she says she is going to give a certain "new" item away, yet she charges $20 per entry into the drawing giveaway.
It is hard to relate give away when you have to pay money for a chance to win.
The trick to it, it that, it costs you less for this new product if you just so happen to win it.
It is just hard to say, it is a give away, for me. It looks like it would be free. Just saying.
She buys these new items from Amazon after they win it actually. She says she does.
Then she ships it their address. It is not something she owns. It is from sellers on Amazon.
She is making over $1000 per day by doing this just from "giving away" one item that costs less than $200.
I always thought it was illegal for an individual to do this but I guess not.

Not sure what the legalities are around this, but this is sort of like a lottery of sorts, and these are highly regulated. Even when a legitimate company does a sweepstakes or contest, they have to go through all sorts of channels to do this, and again, they are highly regulated and must be third party audited.
I am not a lawyer, but I do not think this IS in fact legal.
