Trip to Costco

So, I went to Costco yesterday mostly for their rotisserie chicken. You get a big one there for 4.99 when it is generally more in grocery stores, and is smaller to boot. I think you can get a large one on Walmart but it is like 7.49 or something. I also buy bananas there when I go as they are pretty cheap there, in addition I bought a pineapple for 1.99 and a throw for my chair in the living room. Also, I bought a container of fresh baked chocolate chip cookie shame on me..but they were 1.50 off and less than half the price of Wegmans. I was tempted to buy a memory foam bath mat, as it was a lot of fun to stand on...but the throw was cheaper and needed more. I noticed they had their samples ready to go with the sample workers standing at attention, however, due to Covid they are not allowed to give them out..however, they are making progress with this, last time I was there, no workers onsite and no samples being prepared. I guess they are waiting for the go ahead to give them out again.

I need to get to costco and pick up a few things. I like the packs of grilled chicken they have. Actually, the rotiserrie chicken sounds good for Saturday with friends... Might have to stop by there while we're out. I need a new bath mat too.

It was a nice mat for 12.98. Maybe if they have them when I go back I will get one. My feat is it might get wet. However, I guess it is designed to take moisture.

@snowy22315 A friend of mine has one of the memory foam ones and as long as it's not a lot of moisture, it should soak it up nicely. I'll have to look at them. I want one with memory foam but the shower is right behind the door so I'll need to be able to open and close it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I couldn't resist taking off my shoe and standing on one. I had to try it out right??. A lady said "Are you having fun?" I just laughed.

I haven’t been to Costco since the pandemic began. I wouldn’t touch any samples from anywhere either.

They all wear gloves...it's a moot point they aren't passing them out.

@DianneN I think it is just so you can get an idea what the product looks and smells like and so forth. They didn't have the sample cups set up, just the product out of box and cooked up if necessary.

@snowy22315 Right, but why have samples to tempt everyone?

I think surviving business are adapting to this pandemic. They find ways to promote and generate more sales without breaking the rules.

Yes, it is moist and flavorful. You can do a lot with that chicken.

Reading about all your bits and pieces was nearly enough to make me want to go shopping.

@NJChicaa I have Costco and Sams both, but Sams I got basically for free. I haven't been there since I joined, but they have a presence online. I might order something sometime.
