This one was pegged early on to be in the countdown, and in the countdown it is! This would also make a good entry in the covers list (so I’ll probably add it to the list....I keep a list of covers and drag ten out on occasion). Here’s today’s song with “dream” in the title. Dream a Little Dream of Me - The Mamas and the Papas Here we are, in the middle of the Beatles, psychedelic rock, and who knows what else, and along come the Mamas and the Papas, with Cass Elliot on lead vocals, with a song that goes back to 1931. AND they had a big hit with it! You might hear an older person (like me) say our music was better. This is why: you’d hear this and “Purple Haze” in the same hour instead of 20 variations of the same song. Enjoy some classic music, renewed and made classic yet again for my generation.
